ALINA SOW is a “no-taboo”, ready-to-wear brand for Men and Women, with simple lines, clear structures and international roots.
Founded in 2017 by Jean-Cédric Sow, ESMOD Berlin graduate as one of the top of his class, ALINA SOW is the perfect marriage of eccentric Parisian chic, proud Congolese originality and subtle Japanese avant-gardism.
It is with fairy tales, popular fiction, myth and even legends, that the designer creates the foundation for his collections.
The originality of the brand is also found in the geographical location of its design studio. It is situated in Africa, in the heights of the south of Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, near the « Djoué », river known in the region for its vigorous streams and cataracts. Cradle of multiple cultural movements of the region, like « la Sapologie » in fashion and the « Rumba » in music, it was a no-brainer for the designer to set up his base there. This melting pot being the perfect cauldron for designing wardrobes for the Staying and the Going.
With his label, Jean-Cédric Sow doesn’t just want to tell stories but also create his own legend.
